Kfc Releases Game Console With An Integrated Chicken Warmer

The Colonel got into the gaming industry.

Look out PS5 and Xbox Series X, and the KFC gaming console is official. It’s called the KFConsole, and it is a VR-ready, high-end gaming PC that comes with a built-in chicken heater. Boom, checkmate! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

In June, just after the PS5 debuted, KFC posted a ludicrous trailer for the KFConsole, but everyone just thought they were kidding. It turns out they were serious. KFC, the chicken hub, partnered up with Cooler Master and released a game console capable of 4K and 240FPS.

The joint press release does not mention the price or release date, but they have reached out for confirmation and will update this article if they hear it back.

KFC PR boss Mark Cheevers said that moving ahead from their original teaser campaign earlier this year. They are pleased to finally send the fans just what they wanted: to make the KFConsole a reality.

He added that they all know that the console war is tough, but they are very confident in the KFConsole as their flagship entry. This computer can run games at the top of the spectrum while keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming session. Who wouldn’t like it?

If Sony or Microsoft were to want some tips about building a chicken chamber for their next effort, they are welcome to get in touch with KFC.

The full specifications have not been released, but we know they have an Intel Nuc 9 CPU, Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSD, and judging by the popularity of “ray tracing” in the Cooler Master, Nvidia GPU ads. Cooler Master also states that KFConsole has “a first-of-its-kind hot-swappable GPU slot” for quick updates. But who really cares about all that when you have a place to keep your fried chicken warm?

KFC’s Flagship Entry

The KFConsole Promotional Campaign launched in June and received more than 11 million views on the KFC Gaming Twitter page. Many people thought it was a spoof.

But KFC has confirmed its collaboration with the multinational hardware maker Cooler Master to build the console.

It said that the console had gone through several production phases, including custom-built casing, developing a unique cooling system, and incorporating the signature chicken chamber.

In August, KFC said it stopped its “Finger-Lickin’ Good” slogan, following the latest health advice on the coronavirus pandemic.
